"New" Economy!

I am pretty young CEO, but I never remember times being like this. When I studied economics in college we were all discussing the "new economy", the economy that did not abide by old rules of recession and inflation. Then the dot com era came and all the rules of stocks priced based on PE Ratio went out the window. Of course we had a "correction" but we never assumed we will have recession; we were all part of the "new" economy. Eventually it seems the economy came to show the "new" economy is still the same as the old economy. A country can not continue to prosper when we import more then we export. We can not continue to grow when all our jobs are going to developing countries. Eventually things will have to equalize. That is what is happening now. The dollar is week, which makes oil even more expensive. The good part about the dollar being low is that it makes USA export cheaper for other countries to buy, but the bad thing is that we American import most our product from overseas so actually we pay more in dollars to buy things.
